Almost seven years after the opening of bankruptcy in the Croatian Olympic Center Bjelolasica and twenty attempts to sell in tenders, the Slovak company Bioelektro Energy is in the process of buying the center for 4.578 million HRK (approx. EUR 0.6 mil).
The High Commercial Court these days rejected the appeal of the Zagreb company Benek against the decision of the Commercial Court in Zagreb from October last year to accept Bioelektro Energy’s offer in the last tender for the sale of HOC as the most favorable. In this way, the conditions were created for the Slovak buyer to conclude a contract with the state on the sale of HOC Bjelolasica. According to the provisions of the tender in which the purchase of real estate in Bjelolasica was offered, the buyer is not obliged to offer a business plan for the Olympic Center, but only to pay the requested amount.
