The company Marera Properties is in negotiations for the purchase of the BIGZ building in Bulevar vojvode MiÅ”iÄa. Serbian daily newspaper āPolitikaā find out that Marera Properties intent on buying the building in the capital of Serbia at the beginning of 2021 for 50 million EUR.
The building has about 40,000 sqm and its exterior must retain its authentic appearance due to the work by architect Dragisa Brasovan, entered in the catalog of cultural importance. Reconstruction is reportedly set to begin in the summer of 2021 once sale is completed.
Marera Properties recently bought āBelgrade Palaceā, and in December they started the reconstruction. They also remodeled the former “Jugohemija” building in Resavska. They also bought the former factory “Beko” and designed it into “Kalemegdan Business Center”.
