October 7.6 percent more building permits were issued in Croatia than last year

In Croatia, 920 building permits were issued in October, which is 7.6 percent more than in October 2019, according to data from the Central Bureau of Statistics. By type of construction, 82 percent and 756 permits, respectively, were issued for buildings, and 18 percent and 164, respectively, for other buildings.

On an annual basis, the number of building permits issued in October for buildings increased by 4.4 percent and for other buildings by 25.2 percent. Compared to September, the number of issued building permits for buildings decreased by 13.9 percent, and for other buildings by 7.2 percent.

By type of work, in October, 73.7 percent or 678 permits were issued for new construction and 26.3 percent or 242 for reconstructions. According to the issued building permits, the construction of 1,738 apartments is planned for October.

In the first ten months of this year, a total of 7,668 building permits were issued, which is 7.4 percent less than in the same period last year, while the projected value of works reaches 22.7 billion HRK or 20 percent less than in the first ten months of 2019.
