The Hungarian government has confirmed its intention to become the majority owner of Debrecen Airport. The information was published in the state official journal – Magyar Kozlony (Hungarian Gazette), stating that it will own a 51% stake in the airport, which is currently owned by the local government and Debreceni Vagyonkezelo Zrt. The government has instructed Andrea Mager, the Minister without portfolio, to carry out the transaction. The valuation of this deal should be announced shortly, and the ownership and operation of the airport would be decided by the minister for innovation.
