Hungary will go into second lockdown on Wednesday as COVID-19 cases are on the rise

Starting Wednesday midnight Hungary will enter a second lockdown in an attempt to lower the number of COVID-19 cases which have risen to almost 90k people currently infected. The announcement was made on Monday by premier Viktor Orban, and the lockdown will last for 30 days. The government will impose a curfew between 8pm and 5am, with an exception for commuters and essential services. The lockdown means that all restaurants and bars are to be closed, with only home delivery permitted. Hotels will only remain open to business travellers.
