Chemicals producer Grupa Azoty has started construction of a 150-bed field hospital in Krakow for the treatment of Covid-19 patients, according to local news reports. The hospital will be located at the Hala Cravocia sports center and is being built in cooperation with the Lesser Poland regional government. Poland has been hit hard by the pandemic’s second wave. Since Oct. 24, the entire country has been designated as a “red-zone.” Many restrictions to combat the virus have been introduced, including online learning. Restaurants and cafes only can serve take away dishes, and shopping centers have been closed. If the situation does not improve, further closures will be introduced, according to news outlets.
