South Korean company to invest EUR 205 mil in second Hungarian production plant

4 November 2020

South Korean’s daughter company Doosan Solus will increase its production capacity of copper tin foil, used for batteries of electric vehicles, by investing EUR 205m in production plant in Hungary. The location of the plant will be in the Tatabanya-Kornye next to their existing one that Doosan opened in this year. The South Koreans made this decision in order to keep up with the growing demand of electric vehicles in Europe and strengthen their position as market leader for production of copper tin foil. The construction is to be completed by 2022, and will create an additional 200 jobs.
