The government plans on supporting the construction sector, especially in Eastern Hungary with EUR 13m to be spent on building hostels for construction workers. Investors would be able to apply for grants leading up to 70-80 percent of the costs. The hostels are to accommodate workers who are working on major government investments in Eastern Hungary which include MOL’s Tiszaujvaros plant or FAKT AG’s agricultural logistics and real estate investment in Bezenye worth EUR 1 billion.
