Zasilkovna adds pick-up boxes to delivery options in Czechia

30 September 2020

The delivery company Zasilkovna has launched a network of pick-up lockers where customers will be able to collect items they’ve purchased online. By the end of the year, it plans to have more than 150 locations operating around the Czech Republic, which would give it a total of 3,800 pick up points. Most of these are smaller stores and groceries, where people can have packages sent to in order to collect them. Ecommerce is responsible for most of the packages, but customers can also send packages through Zasilkovna, making it an important competitor to the post office. The network of pick-up lockers has been added in part as an option for people who are uncomfortable with going into a store to collect their package.”For us, they open up a huge opportunity to deliver packages where other companies don’t want to go, can’t go, or where they’ve limited their services,” said Zasilkovna’s founder Simona Kijonkova. “Z-BOXes will become a natural part of our network of classic delivery locations and will help us cover a large portion of the Czech Republic.”
