Construction of an express rail link to the Prague airport will be a bit longer, and more expensive, than planned because of complications in securing the necessary project documentation. Sprava zeleznic (SZ), the company in charge of the project, has divided the work of preparing the section of track between Vystaviste and Veleslavin into two parts. This is because the portion from Vystaviste to Dejvice in Prague 6 has a valid EIA, whereas the section between Dejvice and Veleslavin’s doesn’t. Metroprojekt and Sudop Praha are preparing the documentation, whose price has risen from CZK 67.3 million to CZK 78.8 million and will now take 45 months to complete.
