Consumer prices in Poland increased by 3 percent y-o-y in July, according to data published by the Central Statistical Office (GUS), with service prices jumping by 7.3 percent and goods increasing by 1.5 percent. As related to the previous month, consumer prices decreased by 0.2 percent, and prices of goods fell by 0.5 percent, while prices of services went up by 0.6 percent. The highest contribution to the total consumer price index in July was food prices, which fell 1.6 percent m-o-m, and clothing and footwear, which decreased by 2.3 percent, according to GUS.
