Number of building permits issued in June fell 6.8% in Croatia

In Croatia, 683 building permits were issued in June, which is 6.6 percent less than in the same month in 2019, according to data from the Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS). On an annual basis, the number of building permits issued in June for buildings decreased by 6.8 percent.

The value of the projects for which permits were issued in June is HRK 1.67 billion, which is 38.4 percent less than in June 2019, when the value of the permitted projects came to HRK 2.71 billion. Of the total, 75.8 percent or 518 permits were issued for new construction, while 24.2 percent was for reconstruction work.

The permits would allow for the construction of 1,128 flats. In the first six months of this year, a total of 4,303 building permits were issued, which is a decrease of 13.2 percent compared to the same period last year.
