Skanska to begin construction on new Budapest office project

10 August 2020

Skanska is poised to break ground on a new office development in Budapest in the coming weeks. The developer and contractor is planning to invest €65m in the first phase of H2Offices, which will offer a total leasable area of about 26,000 sqm. The construction contract is worth approximately €39.5m, which will be included in Skanska’s order bookings for Europe for Q3. Completion is scheduled for the third quarter of 2022. To go up along the city’s Vaci Corridor, the complex will eventually include three buildings. Skanska is aiming to secure LEED Platinum and WELL certificates for the project. This will be Skanska’s second WELL-certified project in Hungary.
