Accolade continues discussions over Ceske Budejovice airport

20 July 2020

The industrial property group Accolade has held discussions with leaders from the Southern Bohemia region about its plans for the airport in Ceske Budejovice. Accolade, which has already invested in the Brno airport in Turany and handled its operations, sees potential in the development of shared services and logistics activities in the Ceske Budejovice airport. “We see synergies with the airport Brno Turany, where we already have trained personnel and a lot of qualified people,” said the company’s founder Milan Kratina. “Operations cost a lot of money. Some of the service things could be done on a unified basis for both airports,” he told the daily Hospodarske noviny, suggesting a common management arrangement for both. Kratina wouldn’t answer whether Accolade would want to buy the entire airport or just a small share, claiming that negotiations were in an early phase.
