In Golubac, Serbia, the renovation of the beach is in progress, including reconstruction of the Lower Marina. Work on the beach is financed by the municipality of Golubac at a cost of around RSD 42 million. The president of the municipality, Nebojsa Mijovic, said that a plan for the detailed regulation of the Lower Marina was being drafted, and that a domestic investor was planning to build a luxury hotel there, with work to begin later this year. An extension of the walking and cycling path from Golubac to the Golubac Fortress is also planned.
