During the first half of June, Lisbon led European cities with the most flight bookings as a destination. This is shown by a study released this week by the World Travel and Tourism Council (WTTC) and ForwardKeys, which reveals that Lisbon occupied 9th place in the same period last year, when London had the largest number of flights booked as a destination, followed through Paris and Rome.
The pandemic has radically changed this list. In the first half of June, Lisbon leads the list, followed by Paris and Amsterdam. International flights to destinations in the European Union registered a y-o-y decrease of 84.4 percent during the first half of June, while new international flight bookings from the EU decreased 80.2 percent for the same period.
