12 June 2020

Gazprom will purchase around 1.3 million tons of pipes for a total of nearly RUB100bn ($1.5bn) which are intended for use on both domestic gas transport and for supplying Russia’s trading partners, including the Power of Siberia mega pipeline. Deliveries of the piping are expected to start this year and continue until the end of 2022 under the supervision of Gazprom Invest, the company in charge with the largest investment projects. The deal is set to be finalized on June 16. It’s twice the value of Gazprom’s largest previous purchase of piping which was sealed in 2018 at a price of RUB 41bn.
