The American company Adient has opened a factory in Loznica following a USD 20m investment to build a 13,000 sqm plant. The plant employs 838 people who will initially focus on the production of automobile upholstery. Eventually, the plant will expand its output to include seat production. It’s been built on 4.3 ha of land in the Šepak industrial zone that Adient acquired last year. Adient opened a plant for the production of car seat covers in Banja Koviljača in 2018, where more than 400 people now work. The Loznica factory is the tenth the company has opened in the EMEA region.
