The number of flights at Portugal’s largest airports has dropped 90 percent since the outbreak began in March. As of today, there are no limits on passenger capacity but the use of masks is still mandatory. According to the Portuguese Air Navigation (NAV), the number of flights over the country dropped by 24,3000, or 36 percent, to 43,800. In April, that figure was 94 percent lower than it was a year ago. Last week, the reduction in the number of flights in Faro, Lisbon and Porto was more than 90 percent compared to the same week in 2019.
