The French company Mecafor, which has been producing parts for the auto industry in Kikinda since 2016, is building a new 3,000 sqm plant where it will produce airplane turbines. The €3m plant is expected to be completed by the end of this summer and will employ up to 180 people within three years. The company has worked primarily for the automotive industry making the new product line of great significance. The company’s production levels at existing facilities dropped at the height of the pandemic, but company officials claim the situation has returned to normal.
