Element Industrial has launched Eli Xpress, a new business line that focuses on proximity storage. The company is planning to build a portfolio of these projects through the direct acquisition of warehouses or through the development of land that meets its requirements. The projects will offer between 6,000 sqm and 12,000 sqm and will be located in or near large cities.
The first project in this new portfolio is the Eli Xpress Constanta logistics park. Offering 11,000 sqm, the property is leased to Altex and Bere Bauturi Constanta. It was purchased last year from the alcoholic beverage distributor Bere Bauturi. “Accelerating the migration trend of significant volumes from retail to online will lead to a sustained demand for flexible storage spaces in areas that can ensure shorter delivery,” said Muler Onofrei, CEO and co-founder of Element Industrial.
