North Macedonia industrial prices fall in March

Industrial prices fell 1.4 percent on a month-to-month basis in March, but inched 0.3 percent higher than they were a year ago. That’s the result of new findings by the North Macedonian State Statistical Office. In March 2020, compared to February 2020, sales prices of manufacturers of industrial products, in total, were 5.3 percent lower in the mining and quarrying sector, while manufacturing was down 1 percent.

Energy companies producing electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning suffered a 1.3 percent fall. The report found that sales prices of manufacturers of industrial products on foreign markets were 2.1 percent lower m-o-m but slightly higher (0.5 percent) on an annual basis.
