CNN targets September for return to New York offices

In one of the first signs of what may be coming, CNN’s Jeff Zucker announced that most of the company’s staff would continue working remotely until September, due to continuing fears of spreading the coronavirus. He said the return to normal work would be phased in “very slowly”, with the emphasis to be placed on caution and employee safety. Around 10 percent of the company’s staff is working from company offices and that the figure would increase to 15 percent by June. Some of the network’s major on-air personalities have been broadcasting from CNN’s single-person studios in its New York offices, but others have been reporting from home. Fox News had originally hoped to get people back in its usual office by May 4, but this has been pushed back until May 15.
