Czech tourists could save the tourist season in Croatia

17 April 2020

The Czech Tour Operators Association has proposed that Czechs that receive a clean bill of health from local health authorities be allowed to travel to destinations with low COVID0-19 infection rates. Croatia and Slovenia are high up on the list of potential destinations. Agreements would be made with these countries to create air and road corridors for the use of these tourists, who would not have to enter a 14-day quarantine period upon returning home. Czech Deputy Prime Minister Karel Havlicek said the implementation of the plan depends on cooperation with these other countries, but he warned that the health of citizens must still come first. Croatia is a traditionally popular choice for Czech tourists.
