Poland is creating new mechanisms to finance the economy and healthcare, which will help adjust social and economic life to the new normal, according to Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki. The government has proposed an anti-crisis action package aimed at helping employers and employees as they deal with the economic fallout related to the coronavirus. Approximately 200,000 companies have submitted requests for aid, according to Morawiecki, and it is expected that at the end of the week the number of such requests will reach 280,000. But the battle against the coronavirus also requires new funds within the framework of the European Union, the PM added, which will include, among other things, digital tax, financial transaction tax, international corporation tax and the abolition of tax havens.
