Panattoni earns Excellent BREEAM rating for Brno Airport

6 March 2020

The industrial zone developer Panattoni has been awarded another Excellent rating under the BREEAM New Construction 2016 for its Brno Airport complex, giving it more than 480,000 sqm of sustainably certified space. “Thanks to our years of attention to preparing and building industrial zones with the least possible impact on their surroundings, we’ve become the number one in sustainable development,” said Pavel Sovička, director of Panattoni for the Czech Republic and Slovakia. He said his company’s position as the biggest European industrial developer was all the more remarkable because “of all the big industrial developers we were the last to arrive in Europe and even today we only work in some of them.” Panattoni recently entered the Slovak market and last year it handed over the greenest warehouse in the country to ViaPharma. It’s currently preparing new brownfield projects near Karlovy Vary and Pilsen. Last year, the company opened branches in the Netherlands and in Spain.
