30 January 2020

CPI Property Group has acquired a 6 percent stake in Globalworth Real Estate Investments through the acquisition on secondary markets of nearly 13.4 million shares. Globalworth’s portfolio is currently valued at roughly €2.8bn and produces gross annual income of more than €180m. Among its key holdings are Skylight & Lumen in Warsaw as well as Globalworth Tower in Bucharest. In a press release, CPI wrote that it did not intend to launch a takeover bid in the near future.

The company also revealed that it has acquired the office building Green Corner in central Warsaw. The 14,000 sqm building is fully leased to companies such as PKO Bank Polski and Grant Thornton. CPI bought the asset from DWS Group. “Green Corner is a significant addition to CPIPG’s property portfolio,” says the company’s Polish asset manager Barbara Topolska. “We will continue to seek opportunities or other acquisitions,” she said. The company is seeking buildings occupied by major tenants that offer stable rets levels and highly ecological operations.
