Aero East Europe to build aircraft factory in central Serbia

30 October 2019

Aero East Europe will break ground on a new factory in Jagodina, central Serbia in March. Located on Stipljanski road, the factory will spread over 1.4 ha that the company acquired from the municipality for free. “The investor is obliged to construct the facility with accompanying contents in accordance with the type of activity it performs, with a total area of 5,000 sqm,” the City Assembly wrote. Construction is expected to take two years. The company will initially employ 50 with an additional 100 to 150 new hires to follow over the next three years. The factory will produce single-engine light aircraft and metal structures.
