Afin Holding has acquired a partially developed logistics project in Turda, central Romania, from the Rockefeller Group. The price of the deal was not disclosed, but profit.ro is calling it one of the largest transactions of the year for the Romanian industrial sector. The deal includes 60 ha of land that can be further developed. Afin, owned by the Itailan Albarosa family, is planning to build a class-A logistics warehouse on 20,000 sqm, which will be leased out. The 5,000 sqm of existing facilities will also be expanded. “Given the large area of land available, we are looking for development opportunities, having discussed with several stakeholders,” said Stefano Albarosa, partner at Afin Holding. The Rockefeller Group, meanwhile, is planning to exit Romania.
