Gerresheimer has started construction on a new factory in Skopje. The German company will produce plastic systems for the pharmaceutical industry and the medical tech¬nology sector as well as prefillable syringes at its Skopje factory. Production is expected to start in mid-2020. The first phase will cover 12,500 sqm of space. The company will hire 400 people to work at the factory. “North Macedonia is an ideal location for us, offering trained personnel, good infrastructure, cost structures and very good support from the authorities. And we have great options to further extend the facility in the future,” said Dietmar Siemssen, CEO of Gerresheimer.
