Hungary’s national bank leaves base rate at 0.9%

The Hungarian National Bank decided to leave the base rate unchanged at 0.9 percent. The rates have not changed in more than six months. The bank’s rate-setters said they are mainly relying on incoming data and projections made in the most recent inflation report, adding that the downside inflation risks had “strengthened further” as a result of Europe’s economic slowdown.
