The Ministry of Transportation will sign a memorandum of understanding with the city of Prague on completing key transportation investments. Czech Television reports that Transport Minister Vladimir Kremlik and Prague mayor Zdeněk Hříb have agreed to work together on building the final 40 km of the outer loop around the capital as well as building a rail connection to the airport and to the city of Kladno. A rail connection between the Main Train Station and the Smichov station is also planned. Kremlik said these projects could be helped by improvements to the law on transport projects that will allow them to move through the planning process more quickly. After a falling out with Prague’s mayor last week, Prime Minister Andrej Babiš complained he had suffered psychological trauma and said someone else would have to negotiate with mayor Hříb.
