Duocor has completed a HUF 3.2bn expansion of its production plant in Mako, southeastern Hungary. The company manufacturers institutional furniture at the facility and is planning to hire an additional 65 people to increase production. The Hungarian government supported the investment with a HUF 635m grant. The Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Peter Szijjarto said that thanks to recent investments made by companies like Duocor, Hungary has the fastest growing economy in the European Union, and unemployment has dropped to 3.3 percent.
