Bosnia retains B credit rating with positive outlook

11 September 2019

Standard & Poor’s is keeping Bosnia’s credit rating at B with a positive outlook. The rating may be increased over the following 12 months if a stable government continues making structural reforms. S&P added in its report that it would lower the credit rating if a stable government is not formed and reforms are sidelined. The positive outlook was also based on S&P’s expectation that “the new government will regulate the status of the program with the International Monetary Fund (IMF), which would accelerate reforms and provide access to resources,” the central bank said in a statement.
