3 September 2019

A growing number of people have been buying homes in municipalities surrounding Budapest. The most attractive satellite towns include Dunakeszi, a city situated 18 km north of the capital, as well as Szigetszentmiklós and Erd, which are both located approximately 20 km south of Budapest, according to Gábor Soóki-Tóth, head analyst for property broker Otthon Centrum. Since 2010, Dunakeszi and Szigetszentmiklós have each added about 10,000 residents to their populations, said Soóki-Tóth.
