Czech industrial stock clears 8 million sqm mark

The total Czech stock of modern warehouse space broke the 8 million square meter mark following the 153,000 sqm of new supply brought to market during Q2 2019. That represented an 11 percent decline for the same period in 2018. Among the new sheds to come on line were the 39,400 sqm facility in Prologis Park Brno (12 percent of which has been leased) and a 14,100 sqm unit at CTPark Ostrava (fully leased to a manufacturing company). The figures, assembled by the Industrial Research Forum, who that 467,700 sqm of space is currently under construction and that around 16 percent of that is located in the Greater Prague area. Gross take-up reached 380,500 sqm, which was 21 percent up from Q1 2018, with 42 percent of the total due to renegotiations. Panattoni Park Cheb II produced the largest deal: a 27,400 sqm prelease to Real Digital. Hyunda Steel Czech’s 25,200 sqm lease at CTPark Ostrava came a close second.
