Societe Generale Bank in Montenegro is poised to be officially renamed Podgoricka Banka AD Podgorica during a shareholders meeting on July 16. The bank will be taken over by Hungary’s OTP Group. Three representatives of OTP will join the bank’s board of directors. OTP Group also owns Komercijalna Banka. Podgoricka will eventually merge with CKB. The process could take more than a year to complete.
