Construction work for Smíchov City is set to get underway in 2022, according to a newly published timeline by the developer Sekyra Group. The daily E15 writes that work was originally supposed to begin in 2021, but quotes Sekyra’s development director Igor Klajmon as saying the timing is still just approximate. “In 2021, preparation work on the project will take place and in 2022 there will be the actual beginning of construction work.” Smichov City is an enormous multifunctional project where the new campus for Česká spořitelna is to be built, comprising four office buildings ranging in height from seven to 10 floors. The new schedule suggests that the company could move into its new headquarters in 2024.
