Zbraslav holding design competition for main square

10 April 2019

Zbraslav’s mayor Zuzana Vejvodová has told the Czech News Agency that the Prague suburb is planning to hold an architectural competition to redesign its central square. She said that the current arrangement has turned the square into little more than a busy traffic intersection, whereas what the municipality wants is a unified space with areas for relaxation. Vejvodová said that it could take two to four years to complete plans and get the changes through the planning process. Nearly 10,000 people currently live in Zbraslav, which is located on the southern edge of Prague.
