Green Tech Group, a Chinese-based company registered in Zadar by Karl Soong and Croatian partners Mladen and Antony Nincevic, will be building a factory for the production of electric cars and scooters in Kula Norinska. The factory, whose goods will be targeting the Central and Eastern European markets, is expected to employ up to 500 people. The town has begun on the infrastructure needed to allow the factory to function, with Slobodna Dalmacija reporting that the work is expected to be completed by summer. The factory itself could begin production within 18 months, according to the paper, with up to €100m to be invested in it.
