Skanska brings home Green Building prize at HOF Awards 2019

8 April 2019

At the HOF Awards 2019, which took place April 4 at the Marriott Hotel in central Prague, Skanska won the prize for Green Building Development & Developer for its standards-raising office project Visionary in Prague 7. Having obtained LEED Platinum for Core & Shell with 95 points, Visionary in Prague 7 has become the most sustainable office building in CEE and the 2nd greenest in Europe. The building plot required complete cleaning and removal of old environmental damage. Sustainable materials were used from local resources (37%), FSC certified wood (58%) and with recycled components (16%). All materials used in the interiors are zero or low emitting VOC materials.

There are also facilities for alternative transport: cycling (bike stands, lockers, showers + WC, towels, repair stand), electromobility (e-car and charging stations) and shared bikes. Visionary offers facilities for healthy lifestyle: working with natural daylight (85% of all work stations no further than 7,5m from the window), quality food available in the Vision Café. Visionary was also designed and built for WELL certification as well as Life Cycle Assessment + Whole Building Impact Assessment.

The HOF Awards are organized by Roberts Publishing Media Group, publishers of the region’s leading property magazine, CIJ, and organizers of major property conferences as well as the CIJ Awards series throughout CEE.
