The HOF Awards 2019 took place last night at the Marriott Hotel in central Prague in a gala event that brought together the best real estate projects, companies and professionals from around Central & Eastern Europe. Each of the nearly 160 nominations for this year’s awards won in their respective categories in the CIJ Awards series that’s held each year in Prague, Warsaw, Bratislava, Budapest, Bucharest and Belgrade.
Along with a strong Czech contingent, the event attracted a sizeable number of contestants from around the region, with Geo Margescu, CEO of the Romanian developer Forte Partners being called to the stage both for winning the Leading Leadership in Real Estate prize as well as for winning Investment Transaction of the year (The Bridge). Mihai Paduroiu, Head of Advisory & Transaction Services and Offices in CBRE’s Bucharest office accepted his company’s HOF Awards statue for winning the Office Real Estate Agency prize. But it was 108 Agency that won Warehouse Real Estate Agency prize this year. The first HOF Awards winner in the Leading Female Property Professional category was Michaela Semanová (Savills).
In terms of the winning projects, Liebrecht & wooD’s Centrum Praskie Koneser beat the competition for Office Development, while Robert Dobrzycki, CEO Europe for Panattoni Europe, was the proud recipient of the Warehouse Development statue for his company’s completion of the Amazon Fulfillment Center. Panattoni Europe also won the Warehouse Lease (DHL) and Warehouse Developer of the year.
Among the prizes handed out in the Services category was the ever-competitive one for the region’s best Law Firm, which this time went to Wilsons. In the same category, TPA are the proud owners of the winner’s statue for Tax & Finance Advisor. Finally, Penta Real Estate accepted the prize for its Office Lease in recognition of the deal that brought Deloitte its Churchill project in Prague, while CTP accepted the statue for the best Land Transaction for its acquisition in Biatorbagy, Hungary.
