Skanska LOP and Fenestra Wieden merged by Arx Equity Partners

2 April 2019

The investment fund Arx Equity Partners has acquired Skanska LOP, the Swedish construction giant’s specialist supplier of light façade solutions. At the same time, the fund revealed that it has also bought Fenestra Wieden from its founder Jakub Řehák and placed both companies in the FW Group holding company. The deal was reported by the Czech daily Hospodářské noviny. “By connecting them, a strong company that will have a significant position on the Czech and Swedish market has been created,” said Tomáš Lánský of Arx Equity at the end of a full year of negotiations. “Our goal is to produce turnover of CZK 1bn annually.” Both companies specialize in atypical design solutions, according to HN, where supplier margins are higher. Fenestra has been active on the Swedish market since 2008, but Skanska LOP has been more dependent on its former mother company’s Czech activities for business, having provided facades for projects such as City Green Court and the upcoming Pankrac Parkview.
