Budimex signed a PLN 1.487bn contract with Polish State Railways to expand the Gdynia Port station. The project will include laying new tracks. Budimex will also oversee the installation of new signals, communication equipment and overhead cabling. Construction is expected to take 30 months to complete. The expansion is being supported by the EU’s Connecting Europe Facility, which stipulates that the project must be completed by the end of next year.
