The Minister of Regional Development Klára Dostálová has signed a memorandum on cooperation with the Chamber of Commerce for the preparation of the new construction law. It’s another move that suggests that improvements to the current system of building approvals could end up being passed. It provides evidence for the headline by pointing out that developers are members of the chamber. “The construction lobby wrote the law according to its own ideas and needs,” wrote the head of the international monuments protection group ICOMOS Václav Girsa. “We consider it just as absurd as if the Ministry of Health asked the pharmaceutical companies to prepare a law.”
