Discovery Life Science has acquired Sofia Med. The price of the deal was not disclosed. The US pharmaceutical company will take over Sofia Med’s network of human biospecimen collection sites in Bulgaria, Poland, Romania and the Czech Republic. The transaction is in line with Discovery Life Science’s plans to expand its research and development support services across Europe. The company also recently acquired East West Biopharma, the largest biocollection network in Ukraine.
