Trei Real Estate increased its development volume by €185m to €685m in 2018, up from €500m at the end of 2017. Commercial property accounts for €105m of the German developer’s total, with commercial forming the remainder. Trei has 2,400 residential units under development in Germany, the Czech Republic, Poland and the USA. Trei manages a total of 384 portfolio properties, with almost 70 percent located in Poland (132 properties) and Germany (128 properties).
Pepijn Morshuis, CEO of Trei Real Estate said the company’s entrance onto the American market had a major impact on the result, as construction began on its first project, located in Charlotte, North Carolina. “At the same time, we have pressed ahead with our four housing developments in Berlin,” he said. Commercially, the company has focused on retail park developments in Poland, where Trei opened three new retail parks in 2018 under the Vendo Park brand (in Dabrowa Gornicza, Chodziez and in Lodz). Another ten Vendo Parks in Poland are currently in planning or under construction.
