Poland’s real estate investment volume hits record high in 2018

12 February 2019

The real estate investment volume in Poland totaled €7.2bn in 2018, its fourth consecutive year of growth. The year-end results outperformed the market’s previous record, set in 2006, by almost €2.2bn. Last year’s performance was driven by a number of unique reasons, according to Tomasz Trzósło, managing director of JLL Poland. “It saw a noticeable yield compression in most asset classes. There were almost 100 transactions concluded throughout the year, including the biggest retail portfolio sale in the history of the Polish market for €1bn,” Trzósło said.
