High Prague prices driving projects outside Prague

4 December 2018

With prices continuing to rise on new residential properties in Prague, consumers are increasingly willing to buy flats and houses outside the capital city. The developer Crestyl has used this trend in a pair of its projects, Beroun and in Vysoky Ujezd. In the latter scheme, which is located not far from Zličín, Crestyl has sold out all of its flats currently under construction and won’t be ready until the spring of 2019. In Berounská brána, meanwhile, the first phase of construction isn’t due for completion for a year but over half of the units have already been sold.

“Living outside Prague is become more popular because of the prices of flats,” said Viktor Peška, Crestyl sales director. “People are even looking for flats instead of homes. In both of our projects located within commuting time from the capital, flats are selling faster than row homes or land plots for construction.”
