SGA Companies and Evergreen Private Finance have kicked off construction on a mixed-use scheme in a revamped historic building on Pennsylvania Avenue in Washington, DC. The project, The Rushmore, is a former garden center in Capitol Hill’s Historic District. Plans call for 117 high-end apartments along with 2,500 sq ft of retail space. Slated for completion in the fourth quarter of 2019, all the rental apartments will be one-bedroom units. TSGA Companies and Evergreen Private Finance signed a 100-year ground lease with Capitol Hill investor Larry Quillian to develop the site.
